I love being an encourager. I will always be your cheerleader. I am the weirdo that is honestly thrilled when you do something with all of your heart and soul, and succeed. When your success is better than something that I do, I am cheering you on. Those times when you didn’t achieve the results you wanted, I am inspired by you and proud of you that you tried.
Years ago I used to send out “thoughts of the day” via email. They were short stories with quotes, or song lyrics that were uplifting. Sometimes I would just write to remind myself that there is a positive and hope it would resonate with others.
I have always questioned what is my purpose in life? Why am I here? What do I bring to the table? What is my legacy? Or, as I have been recently asking, what is MY Superpower?
I felt whatever I was going to do or be had to be impactful with a loud splash. When in reality, I was reminded it can be small, quiet, yet yield the same results.
For years I have voiced wanting to write a blog (to my former English teachers, please hold back on using the red pen 😉). I am not sure what the end result will look like, but I hope it will be encouraging and positive for whoever reads these posts.
For the last year I have been toying with many website names. I would write them down, then cross them out because they didn’t convey what I wanted.
One early morning in November 2021 (while in the half awake/half asleep mode) “Live in the Positive” was revealed. I kept thinking there was no way this domain would be available, but going on faith (and of course checking), it was. Holy Moly!
Later that morning the second confirmation to what my heart was telling me was sealed. I opened our daily devotional email from my pastor and it was titled “What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Stronger”. The eye catcher to the second paragraph in big bold letters was:
CONSIDER THIS
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
Whatever this website turns into, I hope that I can encourage someone, somewhere, to Live in the Positive, even for a brief moment.
